South Christian High School is proud to announce that Ben Cook will be our new Boys Varsity Golf Coach. Ben is a South Christian graduate who attended Ferris St. to play college golf before turning into a professional golfer in 2017. Coach Cook played in the PGA Tour Latinoamerica and also played in the PGA Championship in 2019 and 2021. Ben even made the cut in the 2021 PGA Championship and was the low amateur with a score of +2. Ben is a multiple time Michigan PGA Champion with several professional wins in the Michigan and Northern Ohio PGA sections. Coach Cook stated, "It is an honor to come back to my high school and give back to the program that helped shape my career, and I am truly excited to help this team move forward. Coaching the boys team is an opportunity I never expected to have, and stepping into this role after Coach VanStee's passing is deeply emotional. I am committed to carrying his legacy well and pouring everything I can into these kids." We are thrilled to have Coach Cook on our staff and impacting our young men. We are blessed to have him.
